James Williams is originally from Clarksdale, MS, and he has been in ministry since 1979. He and his wife Barbara have been married for over 30 years! They have five children: Collette, Christopher, Cacey, Courtney, and Caylund. James received his Bachelors in Mathematics from Tougaloo College in Tougaloo, MS, and he received his Master of Divinity degree in 1993 from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS. He became an ordained PCA minister in 1994 and has served as a pastor or associate pastor of four PCA churches since then. Most notably, James planted New Life Presbyterian Church in Florissant, Missouri, where he pastored from 1995 to 2009. James has the spiritual gift of evangelism, with a strong burden, passion, and boldness for personally sharing the Gospel. His love for Jesus, strong personal relationship with God, and unique blend of ministry skills make him an ideal match for 2Cities. The same can be said about his wonderful wife Barbara!
In addition to serving as a PCA pastor for decades, James has been involved in international missions and Campus Crusade for Christ (at both Morehouse College and Jackson State University), and he was a prison chaplain for six years. James has a passion for "finishing well to the Glory of God."
